The "No Fridge" Sunday

The "no fridge" Sunday! On Thursday, our fridge suddenly was not freezing and by yesterday, we were basically told that we would need a replacement. So I had very little choice of ingredients available to me today. I decided to make an omelet with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes 🍅 as well as Parmesan cheese 🧀. Simple and effective 😋. Sheldon said that it hit the spot. White and Lavender tea and Orange 🍊 Juice. When last have you tasted balata? For me, it has been more than 40 years. These balata which Sheldon's sister, Arlene, gifted us were extremely sweet 😋. How divine! I also added bananas 🍌. In the biography about Mandela, Christo Brand said that Mandela hadn't eaten a banana in 15 years! Wow! The things we take for granted. For lunch, I prepared couscous with carrots 🥕 and raisins. Baked squash which was the sweetest 😋 ever! Chef's kiss 💋. Creamy sweet potato 🥔 . Sautéed salmon 😋 and stewed pigeon peas 🫛. A slice of avocado 🥑. Fruit Punch. Life is good! #foodienation #foodnetwork
